I woke up this morning singing, “I am a promise. I am a possibility. I am a promise. With a capital P. I am a great big bundle of potentiality. I am learning to hear God‘s voice, and I am trying to make the right choice. I am a promise to be anything God wants me to be.” A very long time ago, before I had children. I would sing this in the car alone on long drives to and from work. It was always comforting to be reminded of the promises and potential we have in Christ. These promises include our every need being supplied, sufficiency in His grace, never being forsaken, victory over death and the grave, all things working together for our good, salvation, eternal life, and so many other things. Today and every day I am thankful for His promises which He reminds us of not only in His word, but in our every day existence.
